"MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY TO OWN A TRUCK AND A BUSINESS!"

Robert started with RT&T Enterprises, Inc. at the end of 2019, having previously owned a truck and with many years of experience that included dry van, flat bed, and reefer. He had been a company driver most of his career and decided to try his first lease early in 2019. The program did not play out as advertised and freight was not consistent, so he was unable to stay to complete the lease. He found RT&T on the internet and in talking to our recruiter, he liked the way the program was set up and the running lanes worked well to get him home as needed. In comparing RT&T to his prior lease experience, he said RT&T offered lower lease payments and was truthful from the start.

When asking Robert the highlights of his career with RT&T so far, he liked feeling that he was part of the family and not just a number, being called by his name, and of course, paying off his truck. He said RT&T is supportive and easy to work for, and he likes the safety bonus program. He knew the lease would only work if he stayed at RT&T until it was completed, and the consistent freight helped make him successful. He did have a couple setbacks with time off for a health issue and a winter accident, and said RT&T was very helpful in getting him into another truck to complete his lease. He now plans to stay with RT&T until retirement.

In offering advice to drivers wanting to enter a lease, Robert says to know what you're getting into, make sure you are ready to own a truck and a business, know all the paperwork involved, and be prepared for truck repairs and maintenance. He was thankful for the mandatory Maintenance Escrow account and will continue to put money aside, as there will always be a need to spend money on a truck. Robert is also happy with his interaction with RT&T Repair. He said that work is always done well and that Andy, the shop manager, gives great advice on what should be done to keep your truck in good shape.

RT&T would like to congratulate Robert on completing his lease and wish him continued success as an owner operator with RT&T!
